I spent the afternoon in Nuevo Progreso Menonita Colony near Hopelchen, Mexico for my birthday. I've always been fascinated with cults since I was part of one when I was a young teen. I was in a fundamentalist Christian cult in Virginia and would go to summer camp with Mennonites. Most of the ones here in Mexico are really scared of me. They don't teach the women Spanish, only the men. They all speak a modified German. I electrocuted myself on a fence trying to photograph a young girl and her little sister. Don't worry, I'm okay.
