Last weekend, I photographed my first children’s beauty pageant. I tried to go there with no expectations. In a world that is often painted as toxic, I had the complete opposite experience. I was welcomed by families that were supportive, positive, and kind. One of my favorite moments was when a deaf constestant walked and everyone signed “clapping” for her. Miss Empire Royalty Pageant.
