I got to photograph a couple events organized by @clarajeon and AAPI @whiterabbittrust @yking333. Both events were to promote Sarah Wang's @daikonclast book, New Skin. The first was a panel with @faith_xue @sabletoothtigre, moderated by @_jessicakwon_ on Beauty, Obsession, and Reinvention, hosted at Soft Hours @softhours.world. The second was a workshop at the NYPL @chathamsqnypl, "Reimagining" the Asian American Immigrant Narrative," where the highlight was to think beyond the existing tropes we too commonly see in fiction, nonfiction, playwrighting, and films.
