Kolkata pt. 6. Hope Foundation supports children living in the Bhagar slum community. Bhagar is the largest dumping zone in Howrah and the residents' main occupation is rag-picking from this dumping ground. Hope sponsors over 400 children who live here and provides schooling and food for the families who are exposed to terrible unhygienic conditions. Most of the children from the Bhagar slum are first-generation learners.
