Kolkata pt. 8. Women's Friendly Society, a 135 year old NGO that supports underprivileged women earn a living through embroidery. This is one of the oldest NGOs in India originally started by British women who were married to senior officers. Many of these women travel form rural areas to earn money to support their families. WFS provides a creative sanctuary for these women.
